The Indian Sound Project is building a global sound library powered by Indian musicians, producers, and sound designers — across folk, classical, regional, experimental, and contemporary traditions.

If your sound carries identity, texture, and truth, we want to hear it.

What we are building, and why it matters

Most of the world’s music today is powered by samples — but very little of it comes from India, and even less of it benefits Indian artists directly. We’re changing that.

We turn your sounds into:
Professionally curated sample packs
Distributed globally across leading marketplaces
Licensed for use in music, film, games, and content
Designed to generate ongoing income, not one-time fees
This is about preservation through participation, not archiving.

What we are looking for

You don’t need a finished “sample pack”. You need to have a unique view in to Indian music, regional instruments, rituals, vocals, ensembles.

We value:
- Strong Indian sonic character
- Cultural or musical specificity
- Clean recordings (studio or well-captured field audio)
- A clear point of view

If you would like to get in touch with us, please include a demo of the type of samples you are thinking of (no need for perfect, clean recordings) and we will get back in touch with you. Send us an email ...
