About the Kanjira:

The kanjira is a small frame drum with a lizard skin head and jingles, traditionally used in South Indian classical music. Its versatile sound ranges from deep bass tones to sharp, crisp slaps – making it ideal for adding organic, ethnic percussion to any production.

We were lucky enough to record this using an original Kanjira that was made from Skin. Kanjira's are nowadays only made with synthetic material - which changes the texture and tone of the sound. However, with this sample pack, you get the best of what the Kanjira was supposed to sound like.
