We record India's folk and indie musicians and turn their sound into royalty-free samples for producers everywhere — with full credit, always.
Unlike most sample labels, we don't give a one-time session fee. Artists earn a significant share of revenue in perpetuity, so every download builds toward their financial freedom, not just ours.
Every other "Indian" sample pack is a guess — synthesized, sampled from old films, or recorded without permission. TISP is the only destination for legitimately sourced Indian folk and traditional recordings: real instruments, real vocalists, real sessions, in the cities and villages where these traditions live. Nothing here is approximated.
Curated packs by instrument, region, or artist — loops, one-shots, stems. Each pack gives you a feel of the complete range of the instrument, the rhythm or the voice.

/ THE ARTISTS
Shankar is a percussionist, having learnt the mridangam in his early years. After years of the corporate world, Shankar got back to his passion of music and Indian percussion. Part of the Poco-a-Poco and other music groups, he brings a sense of fusion built in to his percussion that is ready to blend in with EDM or Hip Hop and Cinematic tracks.
Shankar is the artist in our Ghatam Sample Pack and the Kanjira Sample Pack.
